The Forgotten --- The Forgotten consist of the decendents of Stormclan and Seaclan. they had discovered the malicious purposes of Starclan and, upon warning Skyclan and Shadeclan, they were chased out to live among a ruined land that was nearby, but far enough away that scouts could spot an attack coming. They two allied clans didn't know about the tunnels that led back, but until more recently, neither did the Forgotten.
--- For awhile, the two clan lived separately in exile, but that didn't last long as they needed each other to survive. On occasion, parties from the 'True Clans', as Sky and Shade had named themselves, would come and take a few of the young kits, claiming that they could be saved from the traitorous ways of the outcasts. Then, they were simply ignored and as generations past and the traces of them disappeared from the clan lands, they were thought to be only stories and legends told to teach kits what would happen if they turned their back on Starclan. Thus, they named themselves the Forgotten Clan.
--- With so little food, only the most skilled in hunting can manage to catch enough for the clan, and so when apprentices are deemed ready, they are either made a warrior or a hunter. Warriors know how to hunt from their apprenticeship, but focus mostly on fighting skills. Hunters are similar, but they focus on hunting skills rather than fighting skills. As a result, there is a deputy and a head hunter. The deputy is in charge of warrior patrols, and the head hunter is in charge of hunting patrols. Both help the leader and advise him or her.
--- The naming is identical to that of the clans with an exception of the leader. They have not worshipped the stars for a longer time, and have instead turned solely to the moon, believing it to be the single pure thing that belongs to the night sky. As a result, the leader's names end in 'moon' rather than 'star'.
The True Clans --- The True Clans consist of Skyclan and Shadeclan. Previously, the two had been vicious enemies, rarely agreeing with each other, and even then, mostly only agreeing to disagree. However, when Seaclan and Stormclan began describing what they had discovered about Starclan, the Sky and the Shade banded together to drive them out, taking one of each empty territory for themselves.
--- With this new common goal, the two stayed allies for many generations, but as time wears on, their differences are beginning to prevail. The Forgotten stand strong united, but they have no idea that their enemies are fighting amongst themselves once more, entirely divided. It will make the fight between them easier for the Forgotten to win, especially if they wipe each other out before their unknown enemy arrives.
Starclan --- Our warrior ancestors have been hiding great secrets from us. You see, when one dies, their sense of justice often dies with them. They can keep up the act well enough, but in truth, Starclan just wants everyone else to be like them. They plant prophecies that will cause death, misery and destruction before anything good comes of the decay, and have been doing it for so many years, it's surprising no one had realized it sooner.
--- They secret was discovered by the Forgotten only by sheer accident. It just so happened that one cat from each clan had been planning a trip to the Starcavern. They arrived about hte same time, and, peacefully, entered to dream with Starclan together. Starclan had not seen them coming, and the two dreamers walked in amongst a quarrel over what deathtrap they should walk the clans into next. Since the two stories from the dreaming cats, both the leader of their clan, were exactly the same in every detail, the two clans had no choice but to believe. Skyclan and Shadeclan thought of it as a conspiracy, and, rather than believe the distraught cats who had had their faith ruined, chased them out, pleasing Starclan to no end.
Rogues and Loners --- Not much has changed in this department, though it is common to see well-fed loners heading into the tunnels to bring some extra prey to the Forgotten. The rogues could care less, but are, on occasion, convinced to play as mercenaries for the Forgotten against the True Clans, or even by Skyclan or Shadeclan against the other.
--- In general, they are the neutral party, though it is more of each cat's personal preference whether they help one side or the otehr, or stay out of it entirely.
